Frequently Asked Questions
We have several on-line utilities to help you with your Crosswinds account. Login to your account from the main site, and click on any of the blue tabs at the top of the page. The Account Information will allow you to update your personal information, the File Manager will allow you to upload your files (20 at a time!) using the browser interface, the Member Utilities has the email settings, and you can also find CWmail and find manage referral statistics. You will also find the tab to allow you to upgrade your account to Premium or Email Pro, or shop at our online Crosswinds Store!
2. When I try to log into one of the utilities, I get an error message. What's wrong?
There are two likely problems. The first is that you are using uppercase letters in your membername. Your membername should be in lowercase letters.
3. Can I upload multiple files using * or ? in the Homepage Utilities?
Unfortunately, no. It is currently a limitation of the protocol. You can only upload individual files, which is why we provide 25 file entries in the File Utilities page. Each file name must be unique and cannot have * or ? in it.
One additional note, it is highly advisable not to use spaces in your file names. This can often confuse a web server and cause your pages not to be found.
